Whey Protein

When it comes to protein there's no better source than whey. Whey protein contains high levels of both essential and non-essential amino acids and possesses the highest biological value of any known protein. In addition, whey contains health rich antioxidants.

Because of its strong nutritional property, whey protein is used by a variety of individuals interested in increasing their high quality protein intake while minimizing the intake of fat. It's lactose free and more easily digestible as compared to other supplemental protein sources.

Whey powder is available at nearly all health food stores but consumers must be careful to purchase products low in sugars, fillers and carbohydrates. While a whey supplement can be added to a number of foods including oatmeal, shakes and muffins, powder should be added late in the cooking process in order to minimize protein degradation.
